On behalf of the Scientific Committee and the Local Organising Committee, it is our great pleasure to invite you to the 9th Postgraduate Course in Clinical Endocrinology of the European Society of Endocrinology that will take place from 27th to 29th May 2010 in Tartu, Estonia. The postgraduate course will be held jointly with the 5th Baltic Congress of Endocrinology.
We are delighted to present you with a comprehensive scientific programme that comprises state of the art lectures, exciting clinical debates and challenging workshops given by outstanding experts in clinical endocrinology. In order to facilitate the development of endocrine surgery in the region as well as the collaboration between endocrinologists and endocrine surgeons, the second day of the course will be mainly dedicated to the topics related to endocrine surgery. Another challenging area in endocrinology – gonadal disorders – will be the focus of the third day of the course. In addition, the programme integrates two sessions of the traditional Baltic Congress of Endocrinology which will enlighten the participants with the latest research developments in endocrinology in the region.
We are very pleased to host the 9th ESE Postgraduate Course in Clinical Endocrinology in Tartu – the second largest city in Estonia, particularly famous for its old university, founded in 1632 by King Gustavus II Adolphus of Sweden as Academia Gustaviana. It is the university that has shaped Tartu over the past centuries – its culture, architecture and inhabitants. Today, Tartu is a city of youth – thanks to the university roughly one fifth of its 100 000 inhabitants are students. We look forward to welcoming you in Tartu – the city of youth and good thoughts!
