From Tallinn airport to Tartu: There is one direct bus from Tallinn Airport to Tartu, which departs from Airport bus station at 00:27. Otherwise it is necessary to take a taxi (info) or bus no 2 (info) to central coach station. To find the central coach station, it is necessary to exit at the stop named "Autobussijaam", cross the road at the traffic light and walk about 150 m to the left. The price of the ticket is 25 EEK (1,60 EUR); tickets are sold by the driver in the bus and at R-Kiosk in the terminal. The airport bus stop is located in front of the arrivals hall.

From Tallinn port to Tartu: There is one direct bus from Tallinn Port to Tartu, which departs from Tallinn Port (D and A terminal) at 00:15

BY BUS

From the Tallinn coach station busses depart to Tartu approximately every hour, from 5 am to midnight. The ride from Tallinn to Tartu takes about 2.5 hours. Timetable by departure from Tallinn can be found: www.bussireisid.ee

Bus tickets (costs 120-160 EEK) can only be purchased with cash at the ticket offices. 

Riga-Tartu bus route is opereted by Baltijas Autobusu Linijas. Busses depart from Riga coach station to Tartu twice a day, at 08:30 and 18:45 (same bus starts route from Riga Airport at 17:45).The ride from Riga to Tartu takes about 4 hours. BY TRAIN

The train from Tallinn to Tartu departs twice a day - 7:46 and 16:45. The ride from Tallinn to Tartu by train takes about 2.5 hours.

Tickets can be purchased with cash during the journey on the trains or at the ticket offices of Edelaraudtee at Balti railway station. Passanger information is available on the website: www.edel.ee. If you are using trip planner on this website, your "From station" is Tallinn and "To station" is Tartu. 

The only direct possibility to reach the central railway station from the Tallinn Airport  is to take a taxi. Taxi stop is located in front of the arrival hall.
